This is Strathearn's largest eight pronged star weight using the standard cartwheel or spoke design. It was a regular production item and as with a number of Strathearn's Pwt production quanities were made as needed, if they sold more they made more. This large Star Spoke weight ranges in size from 2.7 to just over 3.2 inches. They always have a colored ground, at least I've never seen one made on a clear ground. These are mould pressed weights.
