Richard More (strathearn) > DCP1946to1956-4694YVP Pindish-0...This is a very interesting paperweight pindish. In my opinion it definitely has Ysart/Vasart canes in it circa 1946 to 1955 but I indicate it as circa 1946 to 1956 (vasart period by one year)...why?...because it has the remains of a Vasart Label on the base. It was in 1956 with the association of George Dunlop of Pirelli Glass that Pirelli began to use the Black and Silver Pirelli label and that Vasart began to use the Black and Silver Vasart Label so I think that this Pindish is a TRUE transitional piece...made in the period of 1946 to 1955 and sold as a Vasart with a Vasart label. Note also that it has the same outer cane as the preceeding pindish #4343 and the outer cane in my YVP7 large spoke weight #4358.
